Quick Epson Ink Cartridge Tip

Want to improve the quality of your pictures on your Epson printer? Try these quick tips for better printing.

  • Horizontal Lines? Run your printer’s Nozzle Check. You can find it on the maintenance tab in “printing preferences”
  • Nozzle check indicating clogged nozzles? Run the Head Cleaning utility also found in “printer preferences”. You may have to run this utility up to 5 times even with genuine Epson ink cartridges
  • Getting Vertical lines in your printout? Run the Epson Print Head Alignment function.
  • Not printing in color? Check to make sure your printer is not set to print in “black only”, “draft”, or “text” modes.
  • Missing one color? Run your Epson Utility to check the ink levels of your color ink cartridges. If color cartridges show sufficient ink levels, run the nozzle check utility to see if all colors are printing correctly.
  • Paper – You may think that “paper is paper”. Wrong! You will achieve your highest quality prints on high quality paper.

In a nutshell, the Epson utilities are your friend. Get to know your way around the nozzle check function of your Epson printer. Your Epson printer is at it’s best when the nozzle check shows no gaps or missing lines.
